ciTy of roCKs
ZALA I wake up to a crisp snowy morning. It takes me a little while to get out of my cozy sleeping bag, but as soon as I step outside, I’m greeted by the magnificent City of Rocks. There are rocks scattered everywhere as if they are growing from the sagebrush-covered hills and fields. I can see why they call it The City. City of Rocks, Idaho, is our first of many stops on our 2020 Summer Road Trip. We climbed almost every day and had an excellent time in camp with our friends from home. Some of my favorite routes: There’s a Friction Afoot 5.10b (My hardest lead route! Yay!), Last of the Lost 5.9, Rye Crisp (trad climb), and It Takes Two (Awesome multipitch I did with Mami). The City of Rocks was terrific, and I can’t wait to go back!
